Installing JukeItUp!

JukeItUp! uses the new Microsoft Installer Program. Only Windows 2000 supports this standard by default. However if you have installed recent Microsoft software such as Office 2000 the installer program will already be loaded onto your system. JukeItUp! is available in two versions, the update version (available from the website Updates page), for machines which already have Microsoft Installer loaded, and the full version (available from the website Download page), which installs the Microsoft Installer before loading JukeItUp!

To install JukeItUp! just download the required version and double-click on the file 'jukeitup.msi' to install (update version), or unzip the files to a temporary directory and run setup.exe (download version). A default directory for JukeItUp! will be offered. This is 'c:\Program Files\JukeItUp Ecstasy Edition\'. If this is the first time you have used JukeItUp! a sub directory will be created called 'Skins'. This is where you should install new 'skins'. See skins for more details.

Database Features

In order to use JukeItUp!'s comprehensive database features you will need to have Microsoft's DAO objects installed. If you have installed the Windows 98 Plus CD you may already have this software installed otherwise we have prepared a database support pack which includes all necessary components to allow the database features to function.
